It is the time it takes your website to process the outcome of a user’s click or tap on any link, button, or other feature of your site, and Google recommends that it be less than 0.1 second (100 milliseconds).

3. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) calculates the sum of all individual layout shift scores for each unexpected layout shift that occurs throughout the page’s existence.

A layout shift occurs when a visible element changes location from one rendered frame to the next.

It is the product of two factors: impact friction and distance friction.

Let us comprehend it with an example.

So, in the video, you can see a page loaded at 75px (0.75 impact friction) and traveling at 25px (0.25 distance friction).

If you calculate CLS for this webpage, simply multiply impact friction by distance friction.

The CLS is 0.75 multiplied by 0.25, or 0.1875.

4. Mobile-Friendly

Make sure your website is mobile friendly. To determine whether or not your website is mobile friendly, use Google’s Mobile Friendly Test Tool or Expert Mobile Friendly Test Tools.
