Are you trying to find an objective Semrush review for 2024? You’re in the proper location.

I’m sharing my eight years of practical Semrush experience. In this post, I will go through the features, benefits, and drawbacks of Semrush.

The Ultimate Guide to Semrush: In-Depth Review and Personal Journey

I’ve been using Semrush for at least eight years. I’m here to share my experience with you so you can decide if investing in Semrush is worthwhile or not.

In the Semrush Review for Today,

I’ll go over the common tools used by most SEO specialists, including myself, for Semrush. It’s a terrific tool. Yes, it’s more of a brief tutorial, but I’ll also try to show how I’m using those Semrush capabilities to efficiently increase the amount of traffic to my website.

Prior to delving deeply,

Permit me to address the most frequently asked question regarding Semrush that confuses users: Why should you utilize or invest in Semrush, a top SEO tool?

Why am I using Semrush for SEO strategy?

Life Before Semrush:

Like every novice, I was doing daily SEO duties by hand before Semrush. It was nearly impossible for me to go it alone without an SEO tool, collect precise data, or complete some necessary chores (like link building).

These were the main issues I was having prior to using Semrush:

  • Different Tools Dependency: For every project, I had to employ a multitude of SEO tools with single features.
  • Researching keywords: I was able to locate some, but not the precise volume or difficulty of the searches. frequently failed as a result of focusing on the incorrect keywords.
  • Link Building: We were unable to locate any promising leads for link building.
  • Site Audit: Technical and content-level deep SEO audits were not carried out.
  • Ineffective SEO strategy: I never was able to accurately analyze competition 100% of the time. I lacked access to keywords, link-building opportunities, and other resources that my competitors were already using.
  • No source for LSI keywords: I had to labor hard to manually gather the ideal semantic keywords for my specialty subjects.
  • Never having enough content ideas: I had spent countless hours by hand trying to figure out what my audience would genuinely be interested in.
Life After Semrush:

To be quite honest, I use Semrush for these primary purposes or advantages:

  • To eliminate the need for different SEO tools and save money.
  • For correct data.
  • To ease my link-building effort and keyword research.
  • To do a proper competitive analysis
  • To reduce manual SEO work.
  • To achieve an effective SEO strategy.
  • For the complete site audit
  • Finally, to boost rankings and website traffic,.

Semrush effectively resolved all of the issues I was experiencing before using it. In my Semrush case study, I even discussed how it helped me increase website traffic.

Pros and Cons of Semrush

Let me explain what I liked and disliked about Semrush.

  • It’s an all-in-one SEO tool (you can save a lot of money just by utilizing this one tool; you don’t need access to other pricey tools like Ahrefs, Moz, etc.).
  • Provides accurate keyword volume data.
  • Finding high-potential keywords is quite easy (because they have correct data).
  • Want to know how well or poorly a website performs on Google? Simply utilize their site audit tool to get all of the site’s faults.
  • Semrush has the world’s largest keyword database (with 21 billion terms), and it is continuously updated.
  • Semrush is a widely used and trusted brand in the world, with over ten million users.
  • You can simply locate and estimate the traffic to any site.
  • You can simply uncover profitable keywords.
  • You may keep track of your keyword ranks.
  • It may also be used to do site audits to detect and fix your site’s technical and SEO problems.
  • Competitive research is wonderful.
  • Provide great SEO reports, including white-label reports.

  • The Semrush interface is easy to use; however, first-time users may need some time to adjust. To learn more about the Semrush platform, watch training videos or read tutorials.
  • Semrush could provide a “number of clicks” indicator in its keyword research tool, as Ahrefs does.

It took almost 20 days to get used to all of Semrush’s tabs, toolbars, and capabilities.

The main reasons to utilize Semrush are its database and the availability of numerous SEO tools.

Semrush is a comprehensive SEO toolkit with over 55 tools used by 10 million people worldwide for keyword research, backlink analysis, SEO audits, and much more.

Semrush allows you to easily uncover extremely profitable keywords for any niche, generate links, manage social media campaigns, and more.

Inside Semrush: A Review of Its Key Features!

Semrush offers a suite of 55+ products organized into several areas, including SEO, content marketing, advertising, and social media.

When I initially started using Semrush, I was thinking, “Yes, I get 55+ powerful tools for my SEO strategy.” But I soon discovered I didn’t need all of the tools.

I’m not complaining about Semrush’s extensive feature set, but not all of them are necessary for day-to-day SEO operations. For example, if you are a blogger like me, you may not be interested in Semrush’s advertising toolkit or local SEO tools.

That is why you should always begin with a Semrush 14-Day Free Trial and determine how many specific products you require for your business growth.
Here are my top Semrush SEO features: (You can also use this section as a guide to get started with Semrush or to use it for SEO purposes.)

Domain Overview: Get an instant analysis of any domain

“It’s like getting a bigger picture of competitors SEO performance in one click.”.

The first tool in the Semrush dashboard’s “Competitive Research” section is Domain Overview.

Well, Semrush’s Domain Overview feature is always my go-to tool when I discover new competition in my niche market. Previously, I would evaluate competitor backlink profiles, keywords, and traffic sources one at a time, which was rather overwhelming.

That is why I appreciated Semrush’s “Domain Overview” tool, which simply does an in-depth competitive analysis of the specified domain (website) and immediately returns the collected “Overview Report.”.

Now I can quickly spy on any competition and estimate their strengths and shortcomings.

You can enter any of your competitors’ website URLs to learn about their current traffic, keywords, backlinks, traffic increase over time, and much more.

The following is an example of a website’s domain overview:

The Domain Overview gives you a complete overview of the website, including:

  • Authority score (Semrush’s metric used to measure the overall quality of the domain)
  • Overall organic search traffic
  • Total number of backlinks for the domain
  • Traffic distribution by country
  • Organic traffic growth over the months (or years)
  • Top Keywords
  • More…

The finest metrics I found useful are a list of all the best-performing keywords of your competitor, combined with keyword metrics such as:

  • Keyword intent
  • Current position in SERPs
  • Search volume
  • CPC
  • Traffic % and more

Ahrefs and Moz don’t have the “Keyword or Search Intent” capability.

Semrush’s databases are routinely updated; therefore, it usually always provides accurate traffic information for a website or domain.

I should notify you that the Semrush Guru Plan (which I am using) allows you to access historical data (from January 2012 to the present). A domain overview tool can show a domain’s whole, previously unknown history.

Domain Overview >> Growth Report:

I use the “Growth Report” option in the same dashboard on a regular basis, just like with historical data. I routinely visit this site to evaluate how my site and competitors are progressing in terms of traffic, backlinks, and other metrics over time.

Domain Overview >> Compare Domains:

Another useful time-saving tool allows you to compare up to five domains at once. I generally utilized this tool to compare my site’s performance to that of competitors in terms of traffic, backlinks, keywords gained or lost, and so on.

It helps you understand which domains are increasing in Google search results and which are decreasing.

Note that the Guru plan includes tools such as growth reports and domain comparisons. I’ve gone over all of Semrush’s intentions in the latter half of the piece.

When you scroll down, you’ll see this “Top Opportunities” widget, which is simply the “Keyword Gap” tool’s widget. From here, you can rapidly uncover the top rivals’ keywords that you may have forgotten to target.

I like the “PDF Export Report” button since it allows us to examine competitors’ SEO efforts and, as a result, plan our SEO approach.

In a word, I believe you will find the Domain Overview function highly useful in determining how your competitors’ SEO strategies are performing. You will surely use this feature to plan your SEO strategy from the start.

Ultimately, playing with the Semrush Domain Overview tool is enjoyable. Previously, it was time-consuming to determine the critical parameters of competitors, but Semrush made everything straightforward and structured.

Semrush Keyword Research Tool: A Game-Changing Tool for Finding Keywords

I use Semrush to simplify my keyword research strategy. Semrush has done an amazing job thus far.

With Semrush, I can now state that I learned how to conduct thorough keyword research and enhance site traffic.

With Semrush, keyword research is accessible through two tools:

  • Keyword Overview (Gives you insights for one keyword)
  • Keyword Magic Tool (For detailed suggestions)

When I have a keyword-related issue, I use the Semrush Keyword Magic tool to remedy it.

The Semrush Keyword Magic Tool assists me in finding numerous types of keywords across different countries, such as:

  • Question-based keywords
  • Broad-match keywords
  • Phrase-match keywords
  • Exact match keywords
  • Related keywords

With so many keyword ideas, you can quickly identify the most profitable and high-traffic phrases in your niche.

You may view the Semrush team’s video on keyword research to discover the step-by-step method.

YouTube video

Compared to Google Search Console, this fantastic term research tool provides me with these additional critical metrics: KD%, intent, CPC value, total volume, trend, featured snippet, current rankings (device-specific), and so on.

With these characteristics, you can quickly determine whether the keywords you select are a good fit for your site.

The letters C, N, T, and I denote search intent, indicating whether a term suggestion is informational, navigational, commercial, or transactional.

Semrush defined these terms as

  • Informational: the user wants to find the solution to a specific inquiry.
  • Commercial: The user wants to study brands and services.
  • Navigational: The user wants to find a specific page or website.
  • Transaction: the user wants to accomplish an activity (buy or other conversion).

I utilize the purpose tool to filter terms according to their intent. Other SEO tools, such as Ahrefs and Moz, do not include the “intent” option.

The Semrush keyword magic tool also includes really powerful advanced filters that allow me to narrow down the results I require.

To filter keyword ideas, I employ advanced filters such as include keywords and exclude keywords.

For example, in the previous SEO tools example, you can enter the phrase “best” into the include keywords box to retrieve all SEO tools-related keywords that contain the word “best.”

Prior to using Semrush, I struggled to identify the optimal keywords to enhance my overall website search traffic. I utilized Semrush to uncover top-performing and unused keywords in my niche.

For example, I routinely target “question keywords” discovered with the Semrush Keyword Magic Tool.

Using “question keywords” is one of the most simple ways to attract targeted visitors from search engines such as Google to your website.

Query keywords are ones in which a searcher enters a whole query into Google. These are typically long-tail keyword phrases since they are highly particular. And the chances of appearing in a feature snippet for these keywords are really high!

Instead of using a broad keyword like “Neil Patel,” a question keyword might be “What is Neil Patel’s net worth?”

As you can see, my site ranks first for the above-mentioned keyword, which I obtained from Semrush’s keyword database.

Here are a few advantages to researching and targeting query keywords in your content.

  • They help you easily acquire featured snippets (since you’re answering particular questions, which Google loves).
  • They effortlessly assist you in gaining top rankings (even when there is competition).
  • They can send you highly focused visitors through search.
  • They convert extremely well.

So, before Semrush, I used sites like Quora and Answerthepublic to find question keywords, but they aren’t very accurate and don’t provide many search stats.

This is where the Semrush keyword magic tool comes in handy and truly helps me with all of those things.

Now, discovering query keywords with Semrush takes only a few clicks.

Once in the Magic Tool, insert any seed term or topic to generate question keywords based on it.

Once the keyword list is generated, select the “Questions” tab.

Have a look.

Along with pertinent inquiry keywords, Semrush generated the critical metrics listed below, which I normally examine while designing my SEO approach.

  • Intent (shows the purpose of a search in a search engine)
  • Search volume
  • Trend (shows the interest of searchers in a certain keyword over a period of 12 months)
  • Keyword difficulty (KD%), and much more

So, this is one of the numerous ways Semrush assisted me in finding effective keywords for ranking my site and increasing traffic.

Quick Tip: When conducting keyword research with Semrush, avoid selecting keywords with a search volume of more than 1000 per month, since they need a lot of effort to generate the necessary traffic for your site. Choose keywords with a monthly search volume of 500 to 1000 (or even less) so that you can achieve top three or first-page rankings even if you have a new website.

Finally, I must admit that Semrush is the best keyword research tool for PPC ads, AdWords, Bing Ads, or simply for your own blog material.

Semrush Organic Research: Powerful Competitive Analysis Tool

This is what is referred to as “Semrush’s Way of Finding the Highest Traffic Competitors Organic Keywords.”. Allowing you to reverse-engineer their most effective keywords.

As an experienced blogger, I must acknowledge that sometimes it is better to target your competitors’ keywords rather than conducting your own keyword research from the beginning.

One of the wise strategies to increase your own site’s organic traffic is to provide better content on your competitors’ target keywords that are currently performing well. I’m doing it, and you can do it too with Semrush.

Finding competitors’ top organic keywords was previously nearly impossible. However, Semrush is well-known for its SEO wizardry, and using its “Organic Research” tool, I can simply access my competitors’ Google Search Console-like dashboards.

So, for me, another of the most important reasons to use the Semrush tool is to spy on your competitors’ keywords.

The objective here is to generate high-quality content around those keywords in order to outrank your competition and increase search traffic to your website.

This is what the Semrush “Organic Research Tool” dashboard looks like:

Not only will you be able to see keywords, but also the amount and pattern of competition organic traffic over time.

As shown above in the placements tab, you can simply find all of the keywords that your competitor’s website ranks for. You will also receive keyword analytics, such as:

  • Keyword intent
  • Search features
  • Keyword positions
  • Traffic %
  • Keyword difficulty and more

You can look at your competitors’ top-performing articles to see which ones drive the most traffic. You can gain useful insights regarding the types of content and topics that are popular with your target audience. You may use this knowledge to create your own content strategy that is more likely to attract and engage your target audience.

You may also track the position changes of your competitors’ keywords in search engines such as Google and Bing.

Have a look.

See that? You can instantly see the keyword positions of your competitors, which you can identify.

  • Improved keyword rankings
  • Declined keyword rankings
  • Newly ranked keywords
  • Keywords that lost rankings

If you don’t know who your competitors are, you can use “organic search” to locate those who rank for similar keywords.

You’ll get a list of websites that rank for certain frequent keywords. It’s worth noting that not all of the listed websites are direct rivals. This list may contain platforms that are not traditional competitors, such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Quora, and Reddit.

To discover your genuine competitors, focus on websites that publish content on related themes or in your niche. These are the rivals whose strategies and content can provide useful insights for your expansion strategy.

In a word, the Semrush organic research tool gives you access to your competitors’ Google Search Console. You may find practically every keyword and its current rankings and include them in your keyword research approach.

It’s vital to remember that Semrush updates its database every day and many times a day to provide you with accurate information on a website’s keyword rankings and traffic. As a result, it makes it easier to find the most recent keyword phrase report for your desired seed keyword list.

Semrush Traffic Analytics Tool: Determine Where Traffic Is Coming From?

Semrush Traffic Analytics is a clone of SimilarWeb.

Semrush Traffic Analytics is located just above the Organic Research Tool. Its primary responsibility is to provide domain traffic source data. You will receive a comprehensive breakdown of how traffic flows through a certain competitor’s website.

Remember, Semrush only includes desktop traffic statistics. It’s only an estimate based on keyword search volumes, organic rankings, and typical click-through rates.

You can compare or investigate five competitors at the same time.

This tool does not appeal to me as much as organic research, although it did provide me with valuable assistance once. When I first started out with my site topic, I was looking for potential social traffic sources for my audience.

I just entered a few competitors’ domain names, and it returned a list of all popular social channel (traffic source) names from which my competitors’ websites receive traffic. With this method, I discovered a social channel where my target demographic existed or hung out on a regular basis.

Semrush Link Building Tools Review:

Whether you believe it or not, Google and other major search engines still use backlinks as one of their top three ranking factors. You may conduct keyword research without an SEO tool, but link building is impossible without a sophisticated tool such as Semrush.

I enjoy using the Semrush Link Building Toolbox. Semrush absolutely nailed it in backlinks. It assisted me in identifying relevant prospects for managing link-building outreach activities, allowing me to increase my domain authority and website traffic.

Semrush Link Building UI is as user-friendly as Ahrefs’. Semrush provides 4 link-building tools that are unique and allow

me to manage all of my links from one spot.

Backlinks Analytics (Semrush Backlink Checker)

Semrush Backlink Analytics is the greatest tool for finding backlinks to any website or particular URL in the world.

Semrush Backlink Analytics provides a massive database of over 43 trillion quality backlinks. It outperforms other link-imexplorer programs like Ahrefs (29.8 trillion) and Moz (43.1 trillion).

The Semrush Backlink Checker Tool is required for discovering link building techniques as well as their backlink sources.

For example, if you know who is linking to your favorite blog or competitor’s website, you can contact them and request that they link to your sites as well (if you have great content, they will!).

Here’s how the Semrush Backlink Checker dashboard looks when you request a domain link building profile:

As shown above, Semrush will instantly provide a summary of the backlink profile, where you can see:

  • Authority score
  • Referring domains
  • Total number of backlinks
  • Monthly visits and more
  • New and Lost backlinks
  • Similar profile

To find the domain’s backlink sources, simply click on “Backlinks.”.

Have a look.

You may quickly find out your competitors’ incoming links (including do-follow links).

You can filter the backlinks in a number of ways, including:

  • Dofollow
  • Nofollow
  • UGC
  • Sponsored

Tools like Ahrefs have failed to deliver critical information that Semrush can provide in the same dashboard, such as similar profiles, referring domain categories, and so on.

The “Similar Profiles” page displays a list of domains extracted by Semrush that have similar link-building profiles to the domain you have supplied.

Meaning that if you enter your domain into the Semrush Backlink Checker, it will work like reverse engineering and provide you with a list of potential domains with a similar link profile, or “prospects,” where you want to build links. This is one of the smart moves I use with Semrush to find relevant link-building prospects.

Backlink Audit Tool:

Apart from the Backlink Analytics tool, Semrush also provides a comprehensive tool called “Backlink Audit” that can be used to remove all of the poisonous links that are hindering your site from ranking higher.

The overview of the backlink audit on Semrush looks like this:

As shown above, you may simply identify hazardous domains that are referring to your website. You can simply use Google’s Disavow Tool to remove all of the negative backlinks.

During my early days of understanding SEO, I made the error of generating links to poisonous domains, which resulted in a Google penalty. However, with the Semrush Links audit method and the Google disavow tool, I am now able to remove poisonous links more easily.

Now I’m always trying to create links on authoritative, related domains in my niche market. Google always looks at the “quality” of the links, not the “quantity.”. As a result, establishing a link association with a non-toxic domain consistently resulted in a good ranking rise and no penalties.

Moving on to another useful link-building Semrush feature. Backlink Gap

Backlinks gap (Semrush):

This is the best backlink development approach I’ve found thus far.

This wonderful tool can help you identify hidden backlink opportunities that your competitors have taken advantage of but you have not.

All you have to do is enter your domain URL and your competitors’ domain URLs (up to 5) and click the “find prospects button”. Then Semrush works its magic, presenting you with all of the websites (prospects) that already connect to your competitors but not to you.

After utilizing both Backlink Checker and Backlinks Gap, I discovered that the Backlinks Gap discovery tool was more powerful and faster at identifying untapped website potential.

Quick note: Semrush, like Backlinks Gap, includes a Keyword Gap tool that allows you to uncover unknown keywords for which your competitors' websites rank but you do not.

Semrush Links Building Tool:

The last useful technique for building links in Semrush is the “Link Building” feature. Compared to Backlink Checker, this will not provide as much data and analytics.

Instead, I use this program anytime I need a large number of possible prospects based on targeting keywords and rivals and performing a “link building outreach campaign” within Semrush itself.

Semrush was also able to provide contact information for prospects as well as allow SEO experts to track the progress of outreach activities.

In a word, the Semrush Link Building tool provides a comprehensive solution for playing a link management game from one location.

Site Audit: Using Semrush to Perform Full Site Audit

Website audits are vital for identifying and resolving SEO or technical issues with your website. But here’s the thing: doing a site audit is a tedious task that takes a long time, especially if you have a large website.

Semrush now allows you to fix technical SEO issues as well as on-page SEO concerns.

Semrush Technical SEO (Off-Page) Audit:

Previously, I used Google Search Console’s built-in site audit tool, but its ability to identify technical SEO concerns was restricted. You can’t go beyond basic web vitals and smartphone usability audits. As a result, I switched my entire website auditing strategy and replaced it with the Semrush Site Audit solution.

Semrush comes into play since it makes it exceedingly simple to undertake whole website audits. By auditing your entire site, it provides you with an overall score that allows you to determine how much work is required.

All you have to do is input your domain and Semrush will begin crawling your site. You can see every element of your website, including the top three issues, faults, and warnings that are causing it.

Here is what the Semrush Site Audit overview dashboard looks like:

As shown above, you’ll find everything from:

  • Site health
  • Crawlabilty issues
  • Internal linking issues
  • Schema markup issues
  • Core Web Vitals score
  • SSL Problems
  • Robot.txt issues

Semrush’s capacity to examine technical SEO concerns is not usual. You will not only learn why the problems exist, but also how to solve them.

The solutions recommended by the Semrush audit system are suitable for novices. If you want to hear from me, 8 out of 10 times, I was able to successfully execute Semrush-recommended solutions for my site’s technical SEO issues.

Semrush On-Page Checker:

Semrush has actionable advice for on-page SEO concerns.

Semrush On-Page SEO Checker is a fantastic function that regularly crawls and analyzes my website for on-page faults and big issues.

Semrush’s concepts or actionables for on-page SEO health have been split into these seven primary areas (seen in the image).

If you go down to these ideas in the “optimization ideas” tab, you’ll find the potential suggestions Semrush made for On-page SEO health.

Among all of the proposals, I reviewed the following SEMrush on-page SEO metrics tips:.

  • Missing keywords in the content and meta tags
  • Semrush suggested that I optimize my site pages for highlighted snippets.
  • Missed opportunities for internal linkages
  • Tips for optimizing content length and reducing keyword cannibalization
  • Ideas for Backlinks
  • Suggestions for reducing keyword stuffing in all possible places
  • LSI keyword opportunities

The Semrush audit system works with all CMS and website builders, therefore it is available to all types of websites. Finally, based on my previous experience, I would rank the Semrush Site Audit tool 9/10.

I use it to fix technical SEO difficulties as well as some of the On-Page SEO issues stated before. However, I was never able to correct all of the mistakes Semrush suggested. There are literally hundreds of options, and if you have a large site like mine, you will be on the same page.

Resolving SEO problems may not always result in positive rankings, but it is always better to be on the safe side. That is why fixing Semrush site audit issues may be beneficial for increased traffic and ranking.

I constantly strive to make as few mistakes as possible and learn from my experience what works and what doesn’t. Because as we all know, there are numerous ranking variables. And, since Google’s helpful upgrade, I’ve been focusing my SEO efforts on building high-quality backlinks with Semrush and creating fantastic content.

Position Tracking: Track Your Own & Competitor Rankings

Semrush Position Tracker allows you to enable “Position Tracking” for a specific collection of keywords.

Aside from Link Building tools, Position Tracking is one of Semrush’s most fascinating and valuable features. Semrush allows you to track every term that leads traffic to your website, including traffic volumes and ranking positions.

I have been using this tool for a long time. Not only did I use this to track my site’s position on my own targeted keywords, but also on competitors’ terms. Previously, for me, position tracking meant manually looking for keywords in the browser.

However, with Semrush Tracker, I receive updated keyword ranking data every 24 hours, which can be saved in CSV and PDF formats. You can also set up email notifications to receive regular updates when your specified keywords lose or gain ranking positions in SERPs.

Semrush Position Tracking covers all three major search engines (Google, Yahoo, and Bing). You can also find keyword positioning for certain nations and platforms (desktop or mobile) that interest you.

Semrush refreshes its keyword rank tracking databases on a daily basis, so you’ll know exactly where your keywords rank. Here is the visibility trend for SoloHelps over the last 7 days. Take a look at the following screenshot.

Below is a screenshot of Google’s featured snippets.

Overall, I’m pleased with how Semrush position tracking works; there have been no issues thus far.

Words on Semrush Customer Support

Complex SEO tools with rich functionality should provide priority customer support. And if that is not the case, investing large sums of money every month will be a waste.

Fortunately, Semrush customer care is top-notch and available through three major channels:

The Knowledge Base and Semrush Academy are additional resources for assistance.

I generally contact them through their live chat support, and the response time is fantastic (within 1 minute).

However, the live chat support feature is not available 24/7, and you must send a message between Monday and Friday EST, 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. As a result, this is considered one of Semrush’s disadvantages.

Email help is available on non-business days and weekends. The response time is expected to be one full business day.

Semrush Pricing Options: Is It Worth the Investment?

Semrush is a costly SEO tool. There’s no denying that.

However, the quantity of data and functions it gives for such a low price makes it more than a thousand times worthwhile. Semrush can help you scale your firm in the long run and increase your earnings.

Investing in Semrush appears completely worthwhile to me because it provides access to data such as 24 billion keywords, 43 trillion links, and 808 million domain profiles.

When compared to major SEO tools like Ahrefs or Moz, Semrush entry plan pricing is comparable, but the feature organization is superior.

And yes, I discovered that Semrush’s most expensive subscription (Business $499/month) is cheaper than Ahref’s agency plan ($999/month) and Moz’s top-level plan ($599/month).

Tip: Use the Semrush promotion code. It will allow you to receive a free Semrush Pro account for the following 14 days. You don’t have to pay anything. If you wish to try Semrush Guru Account for free, you can get 14 days of free trial access here.

Semrush Pricing Options: How Much Do They Cost?

Semrush provides three plans based on the number of projects, keyword metrics, and features. Remember, annual plans save you up to 17%, so make an informed decision.

  • Pro: $108.33/month
  • Guru: $208.33/month
  • Business: $416.66/month

1. Semrush Pro Plan

Price – $108.33/month

Best for agencies.

Semrush Pro or Guru plans are better suited to new enterprises, affiliate marketers, and marketeers.

When running a large agency with many clients and a need for more data (Keywords & Reports), the “Business Plan” should be prioritized.

If you are completely new to SEO and have never used any tool before, I recommend starting with a Semrush free trial and seeing how it works for your business. And then update accordingly.
